While chatting with the Zive Assistant, you may want to quickly upload a file, that is not indexed into Zive as a content item. On the other hand, you may also want to clearly define the context of a thread. Both of these issues may easily be solved by using the Prompt Attachments.
How to add and edit attachments
Note that Prompt Attachments are currently only accessible in the generic Zive Assistant view (not available in the search, file or collection chat).
To add an attachment to your prompt, simply click the plus icon to the left of the input field. From there, you will be able to choose to either browse through Zive for your desired file via the Search tool or upload your own local files.
Once you have implemented at least one attachment, a small window named "Scope" will pop up in the top right, from which you can view and remove your current prompt attachments.
Please Note: There is a limit of 10 files attachable to a thread.
How attachments impact the Assistant
Adding an attachment to a prompt will reduce the context of the Assistant to only said attachment. This means that if you want to e.g. compare a file from your local hard drive to another file inside Zive, you have to attach both files to enable the Assistant to compare them.
Be aware, that your attached files will stay for the entire thread. Thus, if you want the Assistant to work on a different scope on your next prompt, you have to edit your attachments in the "Scope" window on the top right or start an entirely new thread.
