Excluding content

Prevent outdated or irrelevant content from source systems by defining exclusion rules

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Zive offers the possibility to exclude content from being indexed and analyzed. This can make sense, e.g. if you have irrelevant or outdated information in the connected systems, which shouldn't be available in your Zive workspace.

How to exclude certain content?

Zive offers ways to exclude certain content from being indexed and analyzed. For example, content items can be excluded by

  • Date of creation

  • Date of last modification

  • File path (e.g. path includes “Archive”)

  • File name (e.g. name starts with “Outdated:...”)

  • ...

This capability is not available through the admin UI, yet. Please contact our support in case you want to enable exclusions.

Another quick-fix solution for excluding content, that might be more straightforward, is Hiding Content.

Keep in mind that his feature can also be accessed by Moderators and is not intended as a permanent solution for excluding content from Zive.

How to check existing exclusions?

You can always see the active exclusion rules for your workspace in your Administration space in the section Exclusion Rules.
