Share chats with users

Updated this week

Note: This feature needs to be enabled by an Admin of your Zive platform in the platform administration ("Compliance") in order to be available.

Via this functionality you can easily share your chat conversations with your colleagues.

The shared chat is read only, this means that the user accessing the shared chat can't add additional prompts to the chat or continue the conversation. Additionally the sources are limited to not share confidential documents.

How to share a chat

To share a chat thread, simply open a thread and click the 3 buttons at the top left.

Then click "Share"

A warning is displayed for every share attempt to make you aware that you might share personal information.

Click "Create a shareable link" to create a link that you can send to your colleague.

Once the link is created, simply copy it and send it to your colleague.

How a shared chat is treated

Your colleague can then open the chat conversation. It will look like this:
At the top you can see who shared the thread and when it was shared.
In the middle is an information that everything the user sees is read only.

Always keep in mind that the shared chat always remains in the state from the point in time when you shared it. So basically a snapshot of your chat.

This means if you continue your chat after you shared it, it will not update automatically for users you shared it with. If you want to update the version you shared to the current chat, you find the option "Update share" for chats you already shared in the past.
