Finding and using the right context is one of the most crucial factors to get AI answers that you can trust and that meet your expectations. Especially in a business context it's extremely important that AI bases its answers on correct and reliable sources.
That's why the Zive Chat provides you with flexible options to define where to search for relevant information or define the exact context you want to work with, making it as easy as possible for you to give AI the support it needs.
Define where the Zive Chat searches for context
Search nudges
What makes the Zive Chat special is the seamless integration of your company knowledge. Of course you also have the possibility for external research in the web. In the first step it's important to give the chat the right capabilities depending on your expectations. You can simply do this via the buttons (Search Nudges) below the prompt input.
If these options are used, and which of them, is still dependent on your prompt. The chat will not use the search capabilities just because they are enabled. This means that if you have a clear idea of where the Chat should look for information, you can deselect where it shouldn't search, thereby removing that capability.
Tips:
Remove search capabilities you want to prevent the chat from using.
Give a clear indication in the prompt what kind of research you expect.
Integrations
Typing "@" in your prompt allows you to target specific integrated systems. This can be
data integrations to narrow down the internal research to a specific system,
or API integrations to perform actions in specific systems.
Both of them help you to not only define the general realm ("Company" or "Web") but specify more precisely where you want to get information from or which system you would like to work with.
Tip: Take a look at our dedicated article on how to leverage integrations in the Zive Chat
Define exact sources as context
Human in the loop mode
Use case: You want the Zive Chat to explore relevant sources first, but still have the option to verify and adjust them.
In the default mode (User in the loop) whenever the Zive Chat searched your company knowledge it will show you the relevant sources it has identified before generating the answer.
Additionally you see the date this document was last updated as well as a tooltip why this content is a relevant source for your prompt. This allows you to check if these sources are correct and remove or add sources if needed.
Tip: We have a dedicated article explaining the different modes for the Zive Chat: Choose the right mode for the Zive Chat
Prompt attachments
Use case: You know exactly which documents or sources you want to work with.
If you already know exactly which sources or files you would like to work with when starting the prompt, we recommend to directly attach these files. You can easily do this by clicking on the attachment icon on the top right of the prompt input bar and select the option you need.
Whenever you attached content to the chat, it will only consider the information from this attached content for its reply.
Upload from your device
By uploading local files you can quickly add documents you would like to work with, which might not be part of your company knowledge.
Uploaded files get analyzed immediately, enabling you to work with them in the chat afterwards. Depending on the file type the analysis step can take a couple of seconds.
Note: Files uploaded to a chat do not become available for other users. They always remain personal on user level.
Attach from company knowledge
Search and select content that is already indexed through data integrations and available on your Zive platform. This could be specific files or sites from your connected company knowledge or Zive Collections you created on the platform.
Tip: Zive collections are extremely valuable to define a permanent knowledge scope. This way you have a central place to set up and curate a set of sources that you can re-use whenever needed.
