Data processing and storage

Learn how Zive processes and stores your data.

Updated over a month ago

Zive is an AI-powered platform that organizes your company's knowledge to make it universally accessible to your employees. This article covers how Zive processes and stores your data.

How Zive Processes Your Data

  1. You configure and permit each data connector to fetch information from your internal business apps and data sources.

  2. Zive's data connectors will fetch information on a regular basis for analysis, which results in a metadata-only representation.

  3. The metadata will be structured and stored in the Zive Knowledge Graph hosted in our secure cloud.

How Zive stores your data

It is important to note that Zive does not keep hard copies of your data. Instead, Zive only keeps a metadata representation which is stored in our secure cloud hosted on Microsoft Azure in Europe.

The below chart illustrates the whole data process flow:

On-premises hosting

In some cases, customers may wish for the entire data processing to happen in the scope of their own company data center and/or company cloud. Depending on the product plan that you're on, Zive offers custom hosting options for the entire data processing chain, including the data connectors and the analysis process. However, the Zive Knowledge Graph will always need to be stored in our secure cloud. Please contact our support team to learn more.
